Diários de motocicleta (The motorcycle diaries), by Walter Salles, is running for the Golden Globe! Although the actors are Argentinians (including Gael García Bernal and Rodrigo de la Serna), the language is Spanish, and the producers are British, it's considered a BRAZILIAN movie, as Salles is not only Brazilian, but also Carioca!

It's a road movie, taken from the now legendary diary of Ernesto Che Guevara. A voyage across South America. There is a naïve spirit of adventure that inspired the whole journey.

Walter Salles has said that the film is about Ernesto Guevara before he became the legendary revolutionary hero "El Che". When young Ernesto and his friend Alberto have a political awakening when they go across the social and political reality of Latin America.

There are some really beautiful landscapes contrasted with the poverty of the people. I loved it.
